click for C.V. I design and fabricate one-of-a-kind things,
including interactive science exhibits, sculpture,
installations, and furniture. I have also composed a lot of music,
primarily on laptop since 2001, and including soundworks that accompany my own sculptural work and that of video artist collaborators. My work has shown in museums, galleries and group shows in the U.S., Canada, and Germany, and some of my scores for video have screened at independent theaters and festivals around the world. In 2005, I completed a project for the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, designing, fabricating, and installing a brand new Light + Optics gallery. My wife and collaborator, Leslie Raymond, and I perform what we call "Improvised Cinema," by live-mixing soundtrack and visuals to create spectacular spontaneous movies for audiences. We create our work together under the name, Potter-Belmar Labs. Leslie and I moved to San Antonio, Texas, from Ann Arbor in late 2005. |
