Marie-Luise Weber: If people take birds only for entertainment, they deal with it like a product for themself-- because it's just to entertain me, this one. Yes, I had an idea to take it like a painter takes a color, I take a bird. With no emotions. I wanted to be very bad-- I wanted to be not like "Oh, its my little bird, I like him." I only wanted to look out for my artwork & take it like in the circus. I wanted to train some special effects with this bird. For instance, you know, a ring with fire-- to fly there. I couldn't because my emotions are really high.

I'm lookinjg for a new kind of picture. I will use this bird. I will make a tree & I need this bird for one color & he should come to the tree. After a time, with the help of a computer, there will be a tree with a lot of birds, not colors from nature, but artificial. It's like a Japanese kind of making flowers. At first I wanted to make a very beautiful picture, like a video installation. Now I think it's more a scene in a theater on a film.

I don't know how it will end.
